Bokeh comes from a Japanese word. It refers to the out-of-focus area rendered by the lens that is aesthetically pleasing.
It has a lot to do with the focusing distance.
Camera settings
- Switch to manual focus (MF)
- Adjust the focusing ring
- Set a wide open aperture (lowest f-stop)
- Focal length 50mm and beyond
*Bonus tip – the longer the focal length, the bigger the bokeh would be.
