Tram is one of my favourite things to capture. This street corner is a great spot due to its complexity and the tram track goes around the corner which is quite special. So much going on. I picked a rainy day in order to get the shiny reflection bouncing off the light.

You can see the differences in focal length. I deliberately shot from a low angle to get the puddle in the frame. With the 85mm, I was able to “compress” the foreground, middle ground and background as opposed to 24mm, the elements were more scattered.
When it comes to street photography, there are 2 things to keep in mind:
My approach is stay at one spot and let the people come to me instead of chasing people down. Because if you were being put in that position, you won’t feel pleasant too.
I have made a street photography series on YouTube giving you a more thorough idea.
