In the Sony Creators’ App, you can send your photos to Google Drive and Adobe Lightroom.
Cloud Storage Options
Cloud storage is a major concern. A 64GB card can store 800 x 24MP RAW files. Well, clearly you won’t upload everything from the SD card; you’ll only select the best shots to upload.
Canon: 10GB of free cloud storage via image.canon
Nikon: 2GB of free storage for everyone; 20GB for Nikon camera owners
Sony: 5GB of free storage for everyone; 25GB for Sony camera owners
Frame.io: 2GB of free storage, Creative Cloud users have 100GB of storage
How Can It Be Useful?
For travel photographers, it eliminates the need to carry hard drives and laptops for photo transfers.
For wedding and event photographers and videographers, it enables quick edits on same-day deliverables.
Photographers can automatically transfer RAW and JPEG from Frame.io to Adobe Lightroom using their Adobe ID. Please note that Frame.io and Lightroom storage are managed under separate plans.
Videographers can now share cuts and manage feedback with clients without leaving the editing software. Frame.io supports Avid Media Composer, Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, Final Cut Pro X, and DaVinci Resolve.
Do you find this feature helpful? or do you prefer the conventional method of transferring manually with card readers?
